Redlands Wedding Photographer: Emily and Adam | Married!
One of the pictures I like capturing the most is the groom’s face when he first sees his bride. Sometimes that’s before the wedding during a first look, sometimes it’s when they’re walking down the aisle. Typically the grooms get emotional and some even cry. Adam first saw Emily when she walked down the aisle but they had a first “meeting” before the ceremony. Adam was blindfolded and led to Emily, who was waiting on the other side of a tree. They didn’t say much, words weren’t necessary. They just needed to know that the other was there, ready to walk down the aisle and pledge themselves to each other in front of friends and family. But Adam didn’t even have to see Emily to get emotional. The full weight of the day hit him and his emotions were so high, he was overwhelmed with his love for her. You can only imagine what his face was like when he first saw Emily walking down the aisle! It was amazing!
Emily and Adam wrote their own vows and they were the most relatable, honest vows I’ve ever heard. I don’t think they compared notes beforehand but they both said they weren’t perfect and sometimes they bicker, but they would always be there for each other at the end of the day. And isn’t that what it’s all about? Their wedding moved from Redlands United Church of Christ to Speakeasy on State, where guests were treated to a live jazz band during the cocktail house and drinks mixed by Rok-n-Fondue. This crew knew how to party! As soon as the dance floor opened, friends and family rushed over and the party really began!
Thank you Emily and Adam for trusting me with your day. You were a joy to work with!
